A US man who was born a woman before undergoing gender reassignment surgery has given birth to a baby girl, US media reported today.
The 34-year-old gave birth to a baby girl at a hospital in Bend, Oregon, America's ABC News reported, without providing further details.

Thomas, who was born Tracy Lagondino in 1974 in Hawaii, her mother committed suicide when she was a child, under went a sex change 10 years ago.
Today he lives in Oregon in the US.

As a teenager she was a hit on the beauty pageant circuit, she was also into martial arts, earning herself a black belt.

Tracy started dating Nancy, who did a spot of modelling.

Thomas kept his female reproductive organs as his wife, Nancy, had a hysterectomy and the couple hoped to one day have children. Thomas stopped taking his bimonthly testosterone injections when he decided to get pregnant. He'd been taking hormones for eight years, telling The Advocate magazine that stopping "wasn't a decision I took lightly". He said his body "regulated itself" after four months and he was able to conceive without medical help. Nancy inseminated Thomas with a syringe using sperm from a bank.

"I am so lucky to have such a loving, supportive wife," he said. "I will be my daughter's father, and Nancy will be her mother. We will be a family."
Thomas said he still strongly identified as male despite carrying a child.
Also Thomas said he'd received many angry responses to his pregnancy, with some doctors refusing to see him.

Friends and family have been unsupportive - most of Nancy's family doesn't even know I'm transgender," Thomas said. The couple say they may have more children in the future.
