Michael Jackson sued by Sheikh Abdulla Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa

 

Jackson spent six months in Bahrain after he was acquitted of child abuse in 2005, when he became friends with Sheikh Abdullah. During the stay, the Sheikh built Jackson a recording studio, paid him a £4.7m advance for two albums, a stage show and an autobiography, and gave him a £180,000 Rolls Royce. He claims Jackson kept the money but did not deliver the agreed work. The Sheikh says the proceeds of the project were to be used to repay money he had advanced to Jackson to help him out of his financial difficulties. In his pleaded defence, Mr Jackson says the payments he received were “gifts” and that no project was ever finalised.

Michael Jackson has officially passed property deeds over to Sycamore Valley Ranch Company LLC, effectively losing his nearly 3,000 acre estate he lovingly called Neverland Ranch. Michael, who hasn't lived at Neverland since 2005, bought the property in 1987 to turn it into a "paradise for children".
