Stranded pilot whales in Tasmania

Eleven pilot whales that survived a mass stranding in Tasmania that killed 53 others have been returned to the ocean, authorities say. A well-coordinated rescue effort, involving 60 volunteers and 15 government officers, began today at Anthonys Beach near Stanley on Tasmania's northwest coast.

U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey collapsed during a speech

Attorney General Michael Mukasey collapsed during a speech Thursday night and lost consciousness, a Justice Department official said. The 67-year-old Mukasey was rushed to George Washington University Hospital, where his condition was not immediately known.Mukasey was delivering a speech to the Federalist Society at a Washington hotel when "he just started shaking and he collapsed," said Associate Attorney General Kevin O'Connor. "They're very concerned."

"I was completely overwhelmed by the response to the 2008 Chubby Mikey Calendar," he added. "I actually had to refund orders because my supplies were depleted."
