Sarkozy - elevated heels in shoes, Carla - flat shoes

Nicolas Sarkozy & Carla Bruni. He is 53; she, 40. He's a conservative; she once welcomed a journalist to an interview with the words, "Sorry for being topless." The former catwalker (5-feet-11) towers over the pint-size politician (5-feet-6), so much so that she has supposedly stopped wearing heels to avoid the nickname endured by Sarkozy's last wife, Cecilia - who was ridiculed as his "control tower. "Referring to Sarkozy's comments that he was preparing "the biggest reform of the social model since the Liberation (of France)", Socialist spokesperson Benoit Hamon said: "In psychoanalysis, this is what you call the syndrome of the small man who considers that everything he does is bigger than anything that has ever happened," he told reporters.French media say Sarkozy is about 1.65 metres tall, about 20cm shorter than his predecessor Jacques Chirac, and he wears shoes with particularly high heels.

There are some rumours that hi is having a pioneering stretch surgery in a bid to make him taller. has contacted a leading Swiss laboratory because he has become so paranoid about his frame. Doctors reckon they will be able to add an amazing FIVE INCHES to his height in just over a year. “The patient is stretched on a traction bed for several hours and calcium supplements are injected in the bone shafts near the joints. The bones are tricked into thinking they are growing again.” French government spokesman Luc Biggér admitted: “He wants to add five inches to his height. “He read in a science journal about a short man who is now over 6ft.” He said the President would have a series of ops at the Poisson D’Avril Medical Centre in Geneva over the next year.
